Settings

What's in Settings?

Settings is your control center for configuring AI models, managing API access, monitoring usage, and customizing your Runtype workspace. Access it by clicking "Settings" in the sidebar or navigating to any /settings route.

Some settings sections—like Team and BYOK (Bring Your Own Keys)—are only available to organization members or specific plan tiers.

Models

Configure AI models and inference providers for your Flows and Agents. This tab has two inner sections:

  • My Models — View all available models with badges showing "Custom", "Default", "Platform Key", or "BYOK". Add models to your workspace, set default models, edit configurations, or remove models you don't need.

  • My Providers — Connect API keys for providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and XAI. Configure new providers or manage existing keys.

A "Usage & Limits" card shows your current request counts and costs. Runtype provides platform keys so you can start building right away. Adding your own keys (BYOK) is optional and available on Pro+ plans.

API

Create and manage API keys for accessing Runtype programmatically. The API tab has two sections:

  • API Keys — Create new keys by clicking "Create New API Key" and providing a name and environment (Test or Production). Optionally set permissions, expiration dates, or permission templates. Keys display with badges showing their status (Active, Inactive, Expired, or Test). Reveal, edit, regenerate, or delete keys as needed.

  • Analytics — View request statistics for each API key.

Billing

Manage your subscription and monitor plan usage. This section includes:

  • Your Plan — View your current plan, pricing, and trial status. Upgrade or manage your subscription.

  • Usage cards — Track Production Surfaces, Development Surfaces, and Executions with progress bars showing your limits.

  • BYOK status — See whether you can use your own API keys (Pro+ feature).

  • Model Usage — Detailed breakdowns of costs by model and provider.

Usage

View analytics on spending and execution activity. Toggle between 7-day, 30-day, or 90-day views to see:

  • Spend over time

  • Spend by category

  • Executions over time

  • Cost by model

This tab is view-only and shows "No usage data yet" until you've executed Flows or Agents.

Integrations

Connect third-party services to extend Runtype's capabilities. Available integrations include:

  • Analytics — Add a PostHog API key for analytics tracking.

  • Web Scraping — Configure Firecrawl or Exa keys for web data extraction.

  • Vector Databases — Connect Weaviate or Cloudflare Vectorize by providing URLs and API keys. Configurations show badges like "Default" or "Ready" and let you test connections.

  • Code Execution — Add a Daytona key for running code.

  • Email — Configure Resend for sending emails from Flows or Agents.

Each integration is optional. Save keys to activate integrations or remove them when no longer needed.

Dashboard

Customize your personal workspace preferences. Under Appearance you'll find:

  • Theme — Choose Light, Dark, or System with visual preview cards.

  • Download API keys — Toggle whether API keys are automatically downloaded when created.

Team (organization only)

Manage organization members and permissions. This tab only appears if you're part of an organization. Features include:

  • Team Members — View all members with "Admin" or "Member" badges. Admins can promote members to Admin, demote Admins to Member, or remove members. Click "Invite Member" to send invitations.

  • Pending Invitations — Admins can view and revoke pending invites.

If you're not in an organization, this tab displays a "Switch to an organization" option.
